Becoming a member allows an organization to experience the many benefits of SWHSP.  Although the benefits are large, the dues are minimal.

Individual members are welcome; however, dues are structured to encourage organizational membership and are tiered based on whether the organization belongs to the public sector or to the private sector.  Multiple employees from an organization/agency can become members for a single membership fee.  Individuals not affiliated with organizations will pay at private sector rates. 

     Public sector - $100 annually
           
(Governmental and nonprofit agencies)

    
Private sector - $150 annually
           (P
rivate and public corporations)

To become a member, please fill out a membership application and send it to the address indicated on the form.

Benefits of being a SWSHP member include:

  • Assist in improving the Southeast Wisconsin and surrounding region’s business climate by building safer, more resilient communities.

  • Help create robust, all-hazards disaster management capabilities.


  • Develop a better understanding of how public and private sectors can partner when preparing for and responding to disasters and crises throughout the Southeast Wisconsin region and the State of Wisconsin.


  • Maximize community continuity by addressing critical infrastructure interdependencies and related regional economic security challenges through cross-sector collaboration by businesses and government agencies.


  • Upgrade your company’s response capability by coordinating with the public sector to develop your disaster plan and strengthen working relationships with public and private partners.


  • Exchange information and best-practice sharing for business and community preparedness, disaster/crisis response and recovery.


  • Gain a venue to influence and strengthen the early planning, doctrine, exercise and execution of government response.


  • Help identify gaps and overlaps between public and private continuity planning.


  • Become part of an effective communication network to ensure coordination throughout the emergency management cycle.


  • Participate in public/private exercises.

  • Participate in educational opportunities, including local seminars and state-wide forums.
